Example Case: Lower Saxony Interior Ministry
A 2023 study by XRLab@MCM, PwC, and the Lower Saxony Interior Ministry tested using virtual reality (VR) instead of videoconferencing for agile team meetings. Participants used stand-alone VR headsets in a purpose-built virtual environment. Results showed that VR meetings significantly boosted perceived team agility, engagement, and meeting effectiveness compared to traditional video calls. VR reduced "Zoom fatigue," enhanced communication, and created a stronger sense of presence among team members.
